Recent remark by the head of the central bank has raised serious concern about the quality of agricultural credit in the country. Reserve Bank of India has pointed out that credit to agriculture is increasingly becoming skewed in terms of both availability and delivery. Here is the excerpts from a speech delivered By RBI governor D Subba Rao at NABARD funcion in Mumbai .

The business model of micro finance and its future has recently attracted many eyeballs. MFIs on one hand complain of excessive regulation and claim to help the system reach the unreachable at affordable costs. On other hand coercive action by some of them and subsequent suicides in select pockets prompted some state governments to act against the industry.

Every Indian who rides a two wheeler has the dream of upgrading to a car. But with interest rates on a rise, for some of us this just might remain a dream unless we understand the concept of a car loan and how it impacts our pockets.
